Coventry Poet Laureate (2023–2025), a nationally and internationally performing poet known for powerful, dynamic work on page and stage. He is a BBC Words First finalist, a Jerwood Arts Poetry in Performance recipient, and has been published by HarperCollins.

His work has been commissioned by leading organisations including the BBC, E.ON, Flannels, Amnesty International, the Royal Shakespeare Company, Coventry City Football Club, the West Midlands Combined Authority, Belgrade Theatre, Formula 1, AWS, and TBN UK.

John has performed alongside the BBC Symphony Orchestra and appeared at celebrated events and venues such as Sofar Sounds, Shambala Festival, BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Warwick Arts Centre, and the Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
